It’s no secret that Common is a multi-talented individual. A modern-day Renaissance Man, he can pretty much do it all. We’ve heard his rapping skills and seen his acting skills. Now we can see his writing skills. The Chi-Town rapper is putting in that work on a television project about a rapper. The sitcom titled, 93 Til Infinity, is being developed for Fox to debut some time next year.
Common is working with Thomas Kail (Hamilton director) and Ian Edelman on this project. Edelman worked on the failed series How To Make It In America, which had plenty of potential. Kail and Edelman will serve as executive producers to this project and hopefully make it pop.
The show focuses on a black rapper from the 90’s Golden Era, who is trying to figure things out in modern day times. He links up with his white best friend from Middle School who seems to be having issues of his own. Both men are looking for new direction in life and work through it together. It will be interesting to see how the show comes together. All the parties involved are super-talented.
While working on this project, Common is set to release his new album, Black America Again, on November 4th.
