Brooklyn has been on the come up for quite some time. A variety of BK areas have transformed into some of the trendiest spots in town. Apartments and hotels are popping up all over. The latest hotel to hit the BK Streets is the Brooklyn Bridge Hotel. Situated in Brooklyn Bridge Park, this eco-friendly establishment is one of the top options for a hotel stay in Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Bridge Hotel offers some of the highest quality accommodations while being kind to Mother Earth. This hotel is all about that “Green” life with wind power energy supply, a rain-water reclamation system, and use of reclaimed materials throughout the structure. The old BK Domino Sugar Factory and the Old Crow Distillery in Kentucky get their second life here as some of the beams and flooring from those structures are incorporated into the hotel. The hotel lobby is home to a budding green wall while guests sleep on hemp blend mattresses.
The guest rooms are a mirror of the green theme as well. There are 194 suites and guest rooms in
total and they all encourage earth-friendly practices. The bathrooms come with a rain shower that has a 5-minute glass timer for water conservation. The room keys are packed with seeds that will sprout flowers if planted.
The large windows provide picturesque views of Manhattan’s East Side and give each room some New York City style. Later on in the year, the hotel will be launching a variety of other cool “hotel things” to see. Rumor has it that a very popular spa situation could be on its way, a rooftop bar with fire pits for summertime shenanigans, and a restaurant with a top-chef is set to open up real soon.
