Too Much Sauce: These DIY Recipes Bring Dipping To The Next Level

Now that BBQ season is upon us, people are looking for all kinds of creative ways to impress their guests. Menus from all over will consist of everything from burgers, to chicken, to grilled veggies, we have some sauce for them all. The most important thing at a BBQ is the food. These sauce recipes will give life to anything you’re flippin’ on the grill.

First up is a Chic-Fil-A Honey Mustard-ish sauce that would go perfect with some grilled or fried chicken.

Honey Mustard – Ingredients
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon mustard
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

To prepare the honey mustard sauce—in a small bowl whisk together mayonnaise, honey, mustard, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Set aside and serve

Cilantro Jalapeño Sauce – Ingredients:
4 jalapenos, halved
2 cups loosely packed cilantro, stems removed
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cloves garlic
Juice of 1 lime
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Combine jalapenos, cilantro, sour cream, garlic, lime juice and salt in the bowl of a food processor. With the motor running, add olive oil and vinegar in a slow stream until emulsified.

Blue Cheese Sauce sounds like a wing man’s dream. Imagine serving up this sauce with a plate full of flats during the NBA Championships or at next year’s Super Bowl party.

Blue Cheese Sauce – Ingredients:
2 teaspoons butter
2 teaspoons flour
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

In a very small saucepan, melt butter over a medium-low heat. Whisk in flour. Slowly whisk in milk, making sure to get rid of all lumps. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer until thickened, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in blue cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
