It’s Not A Tuesday But It’s The Perfect Day For A Taco

Tacos are the go-to meal for most. They are consumed daily by people worldwide for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even on the late-night. This traditional Mexican dish brings joy to the mouths and bellies of people and today we celebrate them. Today, October 4th, is National Taco Day . The best way to get in on the action is to hit up the nearest taco spot and get your grub on.

Tacos sure have evolved over time. Word on the street is that tacos were first served in the Valley of Mexico way back when. They were served up stuffed with small fish during a feast organized by Hernán Cortés. To date, the recipe has been tweaked to include all kinds of fillings and garnishes. Veggie tacos, chicken tacos, fish tacos, beef tacos, and pork tacos are just some of the options available for that taking. There are hard shell tacos, soft shell tacos, and even tacos wrapped with lettuce. There are so many variations to this cultural classic that almost anyone can enjoy.

If you are in Brooklyn and feel the need to hit a yummy taco spot, we have a few suggestions. Nacho Macho Taco, Los Hermanos, and Tacos El Bronco are amongst a few of our faves. Leave us a comment below and let us know how you spent National Taco Day.
