Hip-Hop/ Rap artist La Femme NIKITA is this year's artist to watch as she climbs the Clear Channel On-Demand Urban Radio Charts and lands in the top 50 within 4 weeks of being added to rotation! Quickly becoming a favorite amongst the SLIP N' SLIDE DJ's, FLEET DJ's, Funkmaster Flex's Franchise, and others; Nikita is destined to make quite an impact on the music industry! Even though she was unfamiliar to some people outside the state of Texas, she had already sold enough records in her home state to be certified a veritable rap star. Now, with a recent special guest appearance on BET's Rap City the rest of the country got a good first look at the next female rap superstar!
In June, 2007 Diddy's Making The Band 3 (Danity Kane), 1st Season finalist, Natasha Walton code name: La Femme NIKITA independently released her first album titled "nom de code: NIKITA," with a single and music video for "Ain't Nuthin." When asked about Hip-Hop today she says "I love the fact that artist such as myself, with a huge fan base have the option of being independent. I pocketed 90% of the return off my download sales, a little over 45,000 to date." She quickly created a national buzz selling worldwide attracting major label attention!
Recently, NIKITA has been featured in the first issue of the Underwire Interactive Magazine, hosted by the Aphilliates' DJ Drama, and actor/ comedian Jamie Kennedy, that sold well over 500,000 units, WHO?MAG TV & DVD Magazine, and Worldwide Westside Magazine. WHO?MAG TV airs twice a week prime time on COOLTV, which is based out of the UK. The show airs in over 40 countries and reaches over 120 million households! WHO?MAG DVD, is distributed nation wide via Suncoast, Best Buy, Sam Goody, Block Buster, and Net Flix. Her feature in WWS Magazine garnered such a huge response, she was asked to do the cover for the first issue of their Indie Edition! Creating such a buzz in her hometown her NEW! hit single "Patrón" & "FLOSSIN" has been added to full rotation on KZRB 103.5 FM & 99.7 FM KMJJ, servicing a 50000 watts four states area including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
